Smyth County

Smyth County, named for General Alexander Smyth, is located in Southwest Virginia. Interstate 81 runs through the county's central valley and intersects with Interstate 77 approximately 25 miles northeast of the Town of Marion, Smyth County's seat of government. Smyth County is rich with history, including three major Civil War battles and the invention of Mountain Dew!
