The Mount Rogers Planning District Commission is seeking a Regional Planner. Responsibilities are varied and include mapping, comprehensive planning, regional planning, grant writing, and project administration. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, familiarity with state and federal guidelines, creativity, consensus-building ability, and strong interpersonal skills. Applicants must work independently and as part of a team with local, state, and federal partners as well as the public. Requires a bachelor’s degree in planning or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Strong preference will be given to applicants with ArcGIS experience.
