Grayson County

Named for William Grayson, one of Virginia’s first two senators, Grayson County is located in Southwest Virginia on the North Carolina state line. Interstate 77 runs 8 miles east of Grayson County by US 58/221. Interstate 81 is just 10 miles north of Grayson County by US 21. Grayson County is home to Mount Rogers, Virginia’s highest mountain peak at 5,729 feet.
